β’ Kentucky authorities conduct nighttime helicopter rescue of injured hiker (amnews.com) β An injured teen hiker rescued near Laurel River Dam was flown to Williamsburg-Whitley County Airport, then taken by Whitley County EMS to a local hospital. The nighttime helicopter hoist involved multiple agencies, including Williamsburg Police, Corbin Fire, Woodbine Search and Rescue, and Kentucky Emergency Management working together in challenging low-water conditions.
